Gary Barker
Gary Barker brings more than 45 years of experience in financial services to his work with individuals, families, retirees, and small business owners. His career began in banking, where he served in lending and branch management roles before building and operating an independent financial planning practice for nearly 30 years.
As a financial professional, Gary helps clients think clearly about retirement, investments, insurance, income planning, and the financial decisions that affect both their present life and future legacy. His approach is personal, practical, and relationship-centered. He believes good financial planning should be understandable, intentional, and grounded in the client’s real goals, values, family, and life circumstances.
Gary holds multiple securities registrations, including FINRA Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65, along with a Texas General Lines insurance license. His decades of experience give him a broad perspective on the financial questions people face as they prepare for retirement, manage transitions, and consider how to care for the people and causes that matter most to them.
Outside of work, Gary is a father, grandfather, Master Mason, longtime CASA volunteer, and member of the Sons of the American Revolution. His life is grounded in faith, family, service, patriotism, and a deep respect for veterans and community. He also enjoys baseball, walking, hiking, fishing, and time with his family.
